What we do

All about safety

Whether it is traditional tree surgery, utility vegitation management, or landscape maintenance, safety is our primary consideration.

With over 20 years of experience in the tree industry and nearly 15 in Utility Arborculture in particular, we can help you achieve your planned, reactive or emergency vegetation management works on the high and low voltage overhead line networks.

We are an accredited Government Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) registered company. All our staff are LANTRA trained and NPTC assessed. With every employee holding a first aid certificate and aerial rescue training, continued training and development is a core value of Livewire Utilities Ltd. You can be certain that all our tree surgery will be carried out to the highest professional standard.

As well as working to British Standards BS3998 Arboriculture and HSE guidelines, Livewire Utilities Ltd operates a zero tolerance work ethic concerning accidents caused by neglect, lack of training and non compliance of industry approved guidelines.

We realise that commercial organisations expect strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, especially in relation to utility tree work, therefore, we have a strong Health & Safety awareness and carry out a standard site specific Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Environmental Risk Assessment for every job.

All our equipment is checked weekly, and LOLER certified every 6 months to ensure compliance. Daily equipment checks are performed as part of the risk assessment process. Vehicles and plant are maintained to the highest standard, and all of our tree surgery works have full insurance public liability cover and are also carried out with comprehensive health & safety considerations.
